Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support overhead distribution construction and maintenance projects nationwide. You will assist crews with installing and repairing lines, poles, insulators and related hardware, while prioritizing safety and PPE protocols.

This entry-level role requires physical stamina, willingness to travel, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds. You will work outdoors in varied conditions and may be scheduled for outages, storms, and on-call rotations.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license; CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergencies.
• Willing to work out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing and repairing overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair power lines, poles, insulators, and hardware.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in variable conditions and safety gear.
• Participate in outages, storms, and on-call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE guidelines.
• Inspect PPE and rubber goods.
• Perform physically demanding labor.
