Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking a Ground System Fluid/Mechanical Engineer II to design and develop fluid and structural systems for test facilities across the full system lifecycle. You will create P&IDs, models, drawings, and analyses under senior guidance, enabling high-pressure gas, cryogenic, and propellant systems to meet performance specs.

You will collaborate with a dynamic team to support PAR readiness, supplier coordination, and field startup activities, contributing to state-of-the-art test

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in fluid systems or test operations.
• Knowledge of ASME B31.3 and BPVC and ability to create P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Support design of fluid and mechanical systems for test facilities across the lifecycle.
• Develop and release engineering deliverables (P&IDs, models, drawings, eBOMs).
• Apply fluid mechanics and structural analysis to high-pressure and cryogenic systems.
• Design mechanical test fixtures and supports.
• Coordinate with suppliers on technical requirements and track cost/schedule.
• Assist with hazard analyses and design reviews.
• Provide on-site support during fabrication, installation, and start-up.
