Job summary

Blue Origin in the United States is seeking a Ground System Fluid/Mechanical Engineer II to contribute to all aspects of test stand design across the full system lifecycle. You will design fluid and structural systems for test facilities and support supplier coordination.

The role offers opportunities to work with senior engineers, apply ASME codes, and participate in PAR readiness, with relocation support and travel between facilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of experience in fluid or mechanical systems or test operations.
• Foundational knowledge of fluid mechanics and structural analysis.
• Knowledge of piping components and welding methods.
• Familiarity with ASME B31.3 and BPVC.

Responsibilities

• Support design of fluid and mechanical systems for test facilities across lifecycle.
• Develop and release engineering deliverables (P&IDs, models, drawings).
• Apply fluid mechanics and system integration fundamentals to high‑pressure and cryogenic systems.
• Design mechanical test fixtures and structural supports.
• Support hazard analyses (PHA/HAZOP) and design reviews.
• Coordinate with suppliers and assist PAR readiness.
