Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a Ground Operations Training Instructor to plan, develop, and deliver training across ramp, cargo, weight and balance, dangerous goods, and aircraft turnaround procedures. You will train a diverse population of employees and external stakeholders at domestic and international locations.

The role emphasizes safety, regulatory compliance, and ongoing evaluation of training effectiveness, with materials updates and CBT support as part of daily duties.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in aviation, education, business, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5-7 years of relevant airline/aviation experience with broad Ground Operations knowledge.
• Demonstrated ability to develop, deliver, facilitate, and evaluate technical training programs.
• Knowledge of aviation regulations, procedures, safety and security standards.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to communicate complex technical and regulatory information to varied audiences.
• Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and prioritize duties.
• Ability to work flexible schedules including domestic and international travel.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications and technology-enabled learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Plans, prepares, and delivers Ground Operations training programs across multiple disciplines.
• Provides training to diverse populations including Loadmasters, Passenger Service Representatives, and other personnel.
• Delivers training in classroom, computer-based, virtual, and on-the-job environments at domestic and international locations.
• Ensures training objectives align with performance, safety, security, and regulatory requirements.
• Conducts on-the-job training, competency checks, and practical evaluations.
• Monitors and evaluates trainee performance across training environments.
• Identifies training deficiencies and develops corrective or refresher training.
• Provides Ground Operations training to flight deck crew and other personnel on applicable procedures.
• Performs weight and balance functions per procedures and requirements.
• Develops, reviews, updates, and maintains training materials and job aids.
• Supports CBT and other technology-enabled learning programs.
• Ensures content aligns with company policies and regulatory requirements.
