Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a Ground Operations professional to oversee vendors and customers, ensuring Atlas, FAA, and civil aviation procedures are followed in day-to-day duties. You will supervise flight handling coordination across departments, crews, and ground handlers to ensure safe, on-time operations.

The role requires a high school diploma, 4+ years in aviation, and training in load planning, weight & balance, and aircraft handling.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 4 years' working experience.
• Background in the airline industry or aviation preferred.
• Experience in cargo/passenger service operations preferred.
• Must pass initial and annual recurrent training in Loadplanning, Weight & Balance, and aircraft handling.
• Maintains current passport and visas.
• No travel restrictions to domestic and international stations.

Responsibilities

• Provide oversight and direction to vendors contracted by Atlas Air and customers of Atlas.
• Oversee flight handling coordination for all Atlas departments, crews and ground handlers.
• Communicate with Station Manager and HQ Global Control Center on issues or irregularities.
• Coordinate load planning with customers and ensure proper and timely load planning.
• Ensure preload checks, cargo integrity, and NOTOC accuracy; manage loading and unloading activities.
• Conduct FOD and Safety audits and ensure safety procedures are followed.
• Update and distribute Atlas reports and ensure regulatory compliance.
