Job summary

Atlas Air Worldwide is seeking a Ground Operations Supervisor to oversee daily ground and cargo operations, supervising frontline staff and third-party providers to ensure safety, compliance, and high service standards. You will coordinate aircraft turning, cargo processing, and operational reporting, while maintaining a strong focus on safety and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has at least 5 years of supervisory experience (4 in aviation) and strong knowledge of cargo operations

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience required, with at least 4 years in aviation.
• Supervisory experience in duty and 767/747 cargo/passenger service operations preferred.
• Must pass Loadplanning, Weight & Balance, and aircraft handling training.
• Comprehensive knowledge of cargo operations across commercial and military environments.
• Strong problem solving, decision making, and operational leadership.
• Good organizational skills in a high-stress environment.
• Maintains current passport/visas and no travel restrictions.
• Fluency in English; multilingual capability preferred.
• High School diploma or equivalent and aviation industry experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day ground and cargo operations to ensure safety and efficiency.
• Supervise frontline personnel and third-party handlers; ensure regulatory compliance.
• Coordinate aircraft turns, cargo processing, and turnaround reporting.
• Maintain safety, performance, and customer satisfaction goals.
• Provide guidance and coaching to station staff; conduct AARs and audits.
