PetSmart’s Salon Experience Lead (Groomer & Salon Trainer) leads grooming and training initiatives, delivering high-quality pet care while developing bathers and new stylists through the grooming program. The role focuses on providing exceptional service and maintaining PetSmart’s standards in a busy salon environment.

The position emphasizes leadership in daily operations, customer engagement, and adherence to safety and grooming guidelines, with growth opportunities within the salon team.

Qualifications

• 2+ years grooming experience; may be asked to complete a technical exam.
• Full-time availability; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Proficiency with grooming tools, equipment and products to perform technical work safely.
• Proficiency in computer applications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail and safety.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates the associate experience and supports associate development; coaching and reviews.
• Develops new and existing associates through bather/stylist certification.
• Identifies candidates to attend academy training to become stylists.
• Delegate and validate completion of daily salon tasks.
• Address and administer associate complaints and grievances.
• Promotes and supports salon and store performance plus customer service.
