Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers choose healthy options and oversee one of the busiest store teams. You will assist in managing inventory, orders, training, and daily store operations to drive sales and maintain high standards of service.

You will lead a collaborative team, implement merchandising plans, and ensure compliance with health and safety guidelines while delivering a positive shopping experience for customers in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to take and give direction in a team setting.
• Outgoing, friendly attitude with ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of reports and financial goals.
• Detail-oriented, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organization and planning; ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Physical ability to lift and move milk trays up to 60 lbs. and boxes up to 50 lbs. on various ranges and durations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products, service, and customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort deliveries.
• Ensure adherence to health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
