Job summary

Meijer Inc. is seeking a store leader to oversee day-to-day operations across departments, mentor staff, and implement strategies to improve service and sales. You will ensure staffing, training, and compliance with company standards in a fast-paced retail environment.

This role emphasizes team development, succession planning, and delivering a positive store image while maintaining P&L and shrink control. Strong communication and leadership are essential to meet customer needs during peak hours.

Qualifications

• Experience leading retail teams and coordinating staffing.
• Excellent communication and the ability to coach staff toward service excellence.
• Ability to analyze sales data and control shrink.

Responsibilities

• Provide courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to achieve staffing needs.
• Promotes succession planning by providing career paths and development needs for the team.
• Documents and applies disciplinary actions and makes recommendations concerning discharge.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and maintaining shrink for the department.
• Models exceptional, fast and friendly customer service.
• Mentors and coaches the team to exceed sales goals and Meijer standards.
• Ensures team is thoroughly trained in all aspects of their jobs and has completed required training.
• Spends majority of time in-store communicating with customers and team members.
