As a Store Operations Leader, you will plan, direct and supervise team members in day-to-day operations across departments, mentoring staff and implementing strategies to improve customer service and sales while upholding company standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 2–3 years of related retail experience.
• One year of management experience.
• Rotational assignments in store areas such as meat, bakery, produce and deli; customer service and product flow experience helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly and resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Ensure courteous, friendly, and efficient service to customers and team members.
• Staffing, selection and hiring to meet staffing needs.
• Provide career paths and development for team members; participate in promotions decisions.
• Document disciplinary actions and recommend discharge when needed.
• Responsible for P&L, achieving sales and controlling shrink in the department.
• Model exceptional, fast, and friendly customer service.
• Promote the Meijer Friendly Initiative in team meetings.
• Mentor team members to exceed service and sales goals and maintain Meijer standards.
• Ensure team is trained in all job aspects and completes required training.
• Spend most time in-store interacting with customers and team members to ensure service quality.
• Promote a safe work environment and maintain reliable attendance.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
