Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent experience required.
• One or more years of retail management experience required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee store operations in the Store Manager's absence.
• Maintain a positive atmosphere of teamwork and accountability.
• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and set an example for all grocery employees.
• Ensure food safety guidelines are followed and comply with health regulations; provide training.
• Coordinate and assist in scheduling and labor management within guidelines.
• Recruit, interview, and train new employees; handle issues and disciplinary procedures.
• Coordinate performance evaluations and review employees annually.
• Work with department heads on schedules, labor, purchasing, and merchandising to meet goals.
• Monitor expenses and propose cost-reduction measures.
• Coordinate physical inventory and assist in preparing P&L as requested.
