Job summary

Responsibilities

• Organize work and staffing for the Grocery Department and train/schedule associates to provide prompt service.
• Respond professionally to customer or associate inquiries, complaints, and questions; be tactful and calm.
• Use CAO to manage ordering and balance on hand in the Department Manager’s absence.
• Price and display merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness, and space allocation.
• Promote merchandising techniques, customer service, product presentation, and promotions.
• Implement company programs and ensure compliance with policies, including dress code and sanitation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, and grocery areas to sanitary standards.
• Communicate with customers and associates to leave a positive impression.
• Demonstrate ability to promote company initiatives and process improvements to reports.
