Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help oversee a busy department, lead the Grocery team, and ensure excellent customer service. The role involves managing orders, inventory, and merchandising to drive productivity and profit in a fast-paced store environment.

You will assist in hiring, training, and developing staff, coordinating deliveries, and upholding health and safety standards while supporting a positive customer experience and team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1–3 years retail management experience.
• Good communication skills both written and verbal.
• Outgoing and friendly demeanor with a positive attitude.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff.
• Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem solving skills.
• Able to prioritize and handle multiple tasks.
• Able to lift and transfer boxes/milk trays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and development of the Grocery Team.
• Unloading and sorting store deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
