Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers choose healthy options and support a busy store team. You will assist in managing merchandising, inventory, and staff development while upholding health and safety standards.

The role emphasizes leadership, excellent customer service, and collaboration with the Grocery Manager to drive productivity and profit in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• At least 1–3 years retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; physical stamina for up to 3 miles walking in 8 hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication; able to take and give direction in a team setting.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude; able to interact with customers and build rapport.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff; analyze margin and sales data.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good organization and planning; able to prioritize multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goals, communication, and teamwork.
• Help lead a team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
