Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help lead one of our busiest store departments and ensure top-quality product and customer service.

You will assist in budgeting, inventory, hiring, training, and daily operations to maximize productivity and profitability. The role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with emphasis on teamwork and strong communication.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; ability to walk long distances as part of the shift.
• Strong written and verbal communication and the ability to take and give direction in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with a positive attitude and strong customer interaction skills.
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of personnel and sales figures.
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organization and planning skills; ability to prioritize and multitask.
• Physical capability to lift up to 60 lbs and handle heavy boxes regularly.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team that delivers high quality product and the best possible customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort through store deliveries; ensure health, safety and sanitation guidelines are followed.
