Sprouts Farmers Market, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers make healthy food choices and to lead one of the store's busiest teams.

You will assist the Grocery Manager with managing and merchandising for maximum productivity and profit, while ensuring product quality and staff development. The role requires a strong customer-service mindset, leadership, and the ability to coordinate merchandising, planning, and daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1–3 years retail management experience. Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to take/give direction in a team
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor with positive attitude and customer interaction ability
• Proven leadership to build, motivate and maintain staff with knowledge of reports and financial goals
• Detail-oriented with analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organization and planning, able to prioritize multiple tasks
• Lift and move milk trays up to 60 lbs. and boxes up to 50 lbs. with/without aid
• Ability to squat/kneel/bend to access areas for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Assist Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork
• Lead a team that brainstorms to deliver high-quality product and service
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Grocery Team
• Unload and sort store deliveries
• Ensure health, safety, and sanitation guidelines are followed
