Fry’s Food Stores in Arizona seeks an Assistant Department Manager to help plan, organize, staff, train and direct Grocery Department associates while maximizing store sales and profits safely and ethically.

You will oversee scheduling, training and supervision, respond to customer and associate inquiries, manage ordering via CAO, pricing, display and signage, and lead merchandising and service initiatives with a focus on quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Flexibility to work mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights as needed.
• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to make quick, informed decisions and handle stressful situations.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Department Manager in organizing staffing and directing Grocery Department associates for prompt, courteous service.
• Respond to customer or associate feedback, complaints, and questions professionally.
• Use CAO to manage ordering and balance on hand in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Perform pricing, display, signage, and space allocation to ensure quality merchandising.
