Fry’s Food Stores in Arizona is seeking a Meat Department leader to plan, organize, train and direct department associates, ensuring high customer service and profits. You will supervise pricing, display, and compliance with company policies, while developing staff and implementing process improvements in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires weekend availability, strong communication, and the ability to handle stress while maintaining integrity and safety standards in food handling.

Responsibilities

• Develop maximum customer relations through friendliness and courtesy and implementation of all company policies.
• Keep department temperature logs accurately updated and maintained; train and follow up with Meat department associates on temperature logs to guarantee accurate temperatures.
• Perform and direct pricing and displaying of merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness, quantity, quality and space allocation.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Train and develop all Meat department employees ensuring customer courtesy and productivity.
• Adhere to company policies and ensure a harassment-free work environment.
• Make recommendations regarding hiring, firing, disciplining, transferring and evaluating meat department associates.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements with direct reports.
• Demonstrate ability to manage people and workloads; supervise and coach direct reports and conduct performance reviews.
