Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Management experience preferred.
• Grocery retail experience (1 year) desired.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to all food safety regulations and guidelines; ensure proper temperatures in cases and coolers are maintained and temperature logs are maintained.
• Report safety risks, theft or fraud; notify management of accidents.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and CAO.
• Plan, organize and supervise the inventory process.
• Schedule price changes and update shelf tags and signs.
• Maintain awareness of inventory and note discrepancies.
• Assist management in preparing budgets, P&L reviews, and financial reporting.
• Monitor and control department expenses.
• Stay current with ads and promotions; implement promotional plans.
• Create and execute sales promotions with store management.
• Understand store layout and product location; respond to product inquiries.
• Develop scheduling to manage customer volume during hours of operation.
• Collaborate with associates to achieve store goals and promote teamwork.
• Communicate department information to associates.
• Supervise and coach direct reports; conduct performance reviews.
• Ability to work in a high-paced and stressful environment.
• Conflict management; act with honesty and integrity.
• Follow directions and resolve customer/business issues.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Any management experience

1 year grocery retail experience
