Job summary

Harris Teeter in Georgia seeks a Grocery Department Supervisor to oversee up to 25 associates and possibly the HBC/GM Department. You will direct and evaluate these areas in accordance with company policies and laws.

Responsibilities include interviewing and training staff, planning and directing work, and participating in performance appraisals, rewards, and discipline while maintaining guest satisfaction and sales growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or two to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills; willingness to participate in required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Responsibilities

• Manage and supervise up to 25 associates in the Grocery Department; may also be assigned responsibility for the HBC/GM Department.
• Direct, coordinate, and evaluate the departments in accordance with Harris Teeter's policies and applicable laws.
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work; assist in appraising performance; reward and discipline associates; address complaints and resolve problems.
