Job summary

Harris Teeter is seeking an assistant to manage and supervise up to 25 associates in the Grocery Department, with possible duties in the HBC/GM Department. The role supports overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these departments, following company policies and applicable laws.

Qualifications

• Must have a HS diploma or GED and 2–3 years related experience or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 25 associates in the Grocery Department.
• May also be assigned responsibility for the HBC/GM Department.
• Coordinate and evaluate department activities in line with Harris Teeter policies and laws.
• Interview and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work; appraise performance and address issues.
