Job summary

Harris Teeter in Durham is seeking a Grocery Department Supervisor to assist with directing and evaluating operations for up to 25 associates, with potential responsibility for the HBC/GM Department. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or GED (or 2–3 years related experience), solid computer skills, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Ability to interview and train associates; plan, assign, and direct work.
• Experience in supervising up to 25 associates in a grocery environment.
• Knowledge of inventory, email, and basic computer software.
• Ability to read, write, and present information in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist to manage and supervise up to 25 associates in the Grocery Department.
• May be assigned responsibility for the HBC/GM Department.
• Coach and evaluate performance; reward and discipline associates.
• Address complaints and resolve problems; ensure customer satisfaction.
• Plan, assign, and direct work according to Harris Teeter's policies and laws.
