Job summary

Food Lion seeks a dedicated Grocery Department Manager to lead a fast-paced team and deliver outstanding customer service. You will hire, train and coach department associates, manage labor and scheduling, and drive store performance in line with Food Lion Strategy.

Responsibilities include maintaining department appearance and safety, controlling costs, using business tools, and ensuring compliant operations. A high school diploma and leadership experience in retail are preferred.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Manage Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise duties of department staff and conduct performance reviews.
• Daily labor management and coaching to meet productivity targets.
• Provide leadership aligned with Food Lion Principles and Strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Ensure excellent customer service and a positive shopping experience.
• Control store expenses through ordering, supplies, and equipment care.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and shrink, coach to prevent losses.
