Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent preferred.

• Must meet minimum age requirements.
• Accreditation as a Certified Food Safety Manager or willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Manage the Grocery Department, including hiring, training and developing department associates.
• Supervise the performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates and provide ongoing performance management.
• Daily management of labor and coaching to achieve productivity.
• Provide leadership to promote a culture aligned with guiding principles, values, vision and strategy.
• Support achievement of budgeted financial and operating results.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and create a positive shopping experience.
• Model outstanding customer service and use product knowledge to meet customer expectations.
• Control store expenses through ordering, care for supplies and equipment.
• Use company tools such as financial reports, ACIS, scheduling, CAO, and business information systems.
• Maintain department appearance, safety, sanitation and quality standards.
• Ensure schedules support extraordinary customer service.
• Understand scheduling, sales, wage percent, interviewing, hiring and training needs.
• Ensure proper ordering, receiving, preparation and display of merchandise.
• Identify and correct unsafe conditions and report accidents.
• Monitor shrink and coaching to prevent losses.
• Assist with bi-annual physical inventory.
• Utilize advertising and promo materials effectively.
• Ensure compliance with regulations and company guidelines.
• Maintain security standards.
• Complete CBT, training packets, and training aids.
• Provide recognition and constructive counseling to improve customer satisfaction and sales.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
