Fry’s Food Stores in Arizona is seeking an Assistant Department Manager for the Grocery Department to lead daily operations and ensure customer satisfaction in a fast-paced retail environment.

You will plan, organize, staff, train and direct associates, while upholding company values of respect, integrity and safety. This role offers growth within The Kroger family and a supportive team environment.

Competenze

• Willing to work varied shifts including mornings, afternoons, evenings, nights.
• Willing and available to work weekends and holidays as needed.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to make intelligent decisions quickly
• Able to tactfully and calmly handle stressful situations
• Possess abilities for production, merchandising and customer services related to sale of merchandise
• Understanding of department operations (staffing, merchandising, CAO, inventory, shrink, scheduling, expenses)
• Knowledge of employment laws and OSHA compliance
• Able to operate power machinery and tools (power jacks, box cutters, label guns, balers, compactors)

Mansioni

• Assist Department Manager in organizing work, staffing, and training associates to ensure prompt service.
• Respond to customer or associate inquiries, complaints and requests professionally.
• Use CAO to manage ordering quantities and track receipts and on-hand balance.
• Price and display merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness, and space allocation.
• Advise associates on merchandising, customer service, and promotions.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, dress code, sanitation and harassment/discrimination policies.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Communicate with associates and customers to create a positive impression.
• Maintain equipment, facilities, floor and grocery areas to sanitary standards.
• Promote and implement company initiatives and process improvements with reports.
• Demonstrate ability to manage people and workloads.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.
