Job summary

Responsibilities

• Assist Department Manager in planning, organizing, staffing, training and directing Grocery Department associates; maximize store sales and profits safely and ethically.
• Respond to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, accidents and questions in a prompt, tactful and professional manner.
• Use CAO to manage ordering quantities and track goods on hand.
• Price and display merchandise; ensure signage, rotation, freshness and space allocation.
• Promote product presentation, customer service and promotional activities within the department.
• Follow company policies, dress code, sanitation and harassment/discrimination guidelines.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.
• Communicate with associates and customers to create a positive impression.
• Maintain equipment, facilities and grocery areas to sanitation standards.
• Support company initiatives and process improvements with staff.
