Job summary

Fry's Food and Drug in Mesa, AZ is seeking a department supervisor to deliver outstanding customer service and lead all functions of the department within Grocery operations. You will ensure a safe, clean environment and drive daily operations in alignment with Customer 1st strategy and Kroger company values.

The role requires managing inventory, coordinating promotions, training staff, and supporting budgeting and financial reporting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Any management experience is preferred.
• 1 year grocery retail experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to food safety regulations and maintain proper temperatures in cases and coolers, with logs.
• Train department associates on inventory/stocking and CAO processes.
• Plan, organize and supervise inventory processes and price changes.
• Assist with budget preparation, P&L reviews, and financial reporting for the department.
• Monitor expenses and stay current with ads, promotions, and seasonal plans.
• Coordinate with store management to create sales promotions and improve department performance.
• Supervise and coach direct reports, conduct performance reviews, and provide feedback.
