The Kroger Co. is seeking an Assistant Department Manager in the Grocery Department at 4230 W McDowell Rd, Phoenix, AZ.

The role focuses on assisting the Department Manager with planning, organizing, staffing, training and directing associates to provide prompt, courteous service to customers. You will use CAO for ordering, manage pricing and product displays, ensure signage and rotation, and help implement company programs while maintaining a safe, respectful work environment.

• Assist the Department Manager in organizing work, staffing needs and training and scheduling associates for prompt, courteous service.
• Respond to customer or associate comments, complaints, requests, accidents and questions professionally.
• Use CAO to manage ordering quantities and track receipts and balance on hand.
• Perform and direct pricing and display of merchandise; maintain signage, rotation, freshness and space allocation.
• Promote merchandising techniques, customer service, product presentation and promotional activities.
• Ensure compliance with company programs, dress code, safety and harassment policies.
• Provide input on department budgets, goals and results.

• Maintain equipment, facilities, floors, shelves and grocery areas to sanitary standards.
