Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking a Grocery Manager or lead position to assist the store in overseeing the department, managing inventory, and coaching the Grocery Team. This role focuses on delivering quality products and exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

The candidate will assist with scheduling, training, and performance management, while ensuring health and safety standards are met across all duties. A flexible schedule including evenings and weekends is required.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to take and give direction.
• Proven leadership ability to build, motivate and maintain staff; manage reports and goals.
• Strong organization, planning, and multi-tasking abilities.
• Physical requirements: lift up to 60 lbs., move boxes up to 50 lbs., and stand/walk long hours.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and excellent customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Grocery Team.
• Unloading and sorting deliveries; ensuring health and safety guidelines are followed.
