Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to support customer health choices and provide outstanding service in a fast-paced store setting. You will help lead one of the busiest store teams, drive product quality, and manage merchandising with a focus on profitability and guest experience.

You will work closely with the Grocery Manager on training, scheduling, and daily operations while ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age with 1–3 years of retail management experience; familiarity with natural foods preferred.
• Flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; walking up to 3 miles per 8 hours.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to work in a team environment.
• Outgoing, friendly demeanor and the ability to interact with customers.
• Proven leadership ability to motivate and manage staff; monitor reports and financial goals.
• Ability to lift and transfer loads as part of daily duties.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Lead brainstorming to deliver high quality products and exceptional customer service.
• Participate in hiring, training, and development of the Grocery Team.
