Job summary

Moog is seeking a skilled Grind Machinist II for the Buffalo, NY site. You will machine high-precision components for flight-critical systems, work from blueprints, and ensure tight tolerances across complex parts on second and third shifts.

A $3,500 sign-on bonus is offered to eligible candidates who apply within the specified window. You’ll join the Military Aircraft Group, use various grinders, and perform own set-ups while maintaining safety per FAA regulations.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• 3+ years of experience as a precision machinist, preferably Grind Machinist.
• Able to read blueprints and interpret instructions.
• Competent with measurement tools and maintaining tight tolerances.

Responsibilities

• Work from blueprints, operation sheets, or verbal instructions.
• Grind complex parts with tight tolerances using cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders.
• Perform own set-ups, including chucking/alignment of irregular parts.
• Dress wheels for form, taper, steps, and unusual shapes.
• Inspect work using air gauges, diatest, and profilometers; identify defects.
