Job summary

Moog is seeking a skilled Grind Machinist II for the 2nd shift in Buffalo, NY. You will grind precise parts for flight-critical systems, perform setups, dress wheels, and inspect finished work to ensure GD&T conformance.

Eligible for a $3,500 sign-on bonus if applied within specified window. Requirements include 3+ years as a Grind Machinist, HS diploma or GED, and proficiency with micrometers, calipers, and dial bore gauges.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred; ability to understand and follow instructions in English.
• At least 3 years of Grind Machinist experience.
• Proficient with measuring equipment (micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges).
• Able to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Ability to select grinding wheels, dress wheels, and run parts per drawings.

Responsibilities

• Grind complex parts from blueprints and operation sheets with tight tolerances.
• Perform setup, chucking, alignment, and wheel selection for production parts.
• Dress grinding wheels for form, taper, and unusual shapes and ensure quality finishes.
• Inspect work with air gauges, diatest, and other gauging equipment; detect defects.
