Job summary

You will work from blueprints and setup your own operations, ensuring tight tolerances and quality in mission-critical components. The ideal candidate has 3+ years as a Grind Machinist, strong measuring tool proficiency, and the ability to read blueprints and work instructions in English.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred or ability to understand and follow English instructions.
• At least 3 years of experience as a Grind Machinist.
• Proficiency with measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, dial bore gauges.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and written work instructions.
• Ability to select grinding wheels and dress wheels per drawing requirements.
• Ability to hold tight tolerances, e.g. ±0.001 with ±0.0005.
• FAA Safety Sensitive Work enrollment in Drug & Alcohol Program is required.

Responsibilities

• Grind a wide variety of complex parts to close tolerances using cylindrical, internal, or surface grinders.
• Perform own set‑ups including chucking and aligning irregular shapes.
• Dress wheels for form, taper, steps and other contours.
• Inspect work using air gauges, diastest, V-blocks, profilometers and other tools.
• Participate in planning and problem solving within the Cell.
