DIG INN Restaurant Teams in New York is hiring a Chef-in-Training to join our scratch-based kitchen and grow alongside our seasoned chefs.

You will rotate through stations, master recipes, and learn to lead with teamwork while delivering delicious, real-food meals in a fast-paced, mission-driven environment.

This role offers a competitive hourly wage with tips, benefits, and opportunities for advancement as you develop culinary skills and contribute to rebuilding the food system.

Competenze

• Passion for real, good food and eagerness to learn culinary practices.
• Ability to work under fast-paced conditions.
• Willingness to perform physical tasks as needed.

Mansioni

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, grains etc using recipes as a guide and taste buds for validation.
• Gain exposure to various DIG kitchen stations (garde manger, grill, roast, market line).
• Speak to guests about menu offerings, seasonality and ingredients to provide scratch-made meals.
• Support the team during peak and off-peak service as needed.
• Move and multi-task in the kitchen and meet physical requirements with/without accommodations.
• Help maintain DIG food safety standards and uphold anti-discrimination policies.
• Contribute to the broader mission of rebuilding the food system.
