Job summary

DIG INN Restaurant Teams is looking for a Chef-in-Training to grow from an aspiring cook into a skilled chef within our scratch-based kitchens. You will learn through hands-on experience, expanding your culinary skills in a fast-paced, community-focused environment.

You will gain exposure to multiple kitchen stations, develop leadership abilities, and contribute to a mission-driven team that values education, purpose, and great tasting food.

Qualifications

• A passion for real, good food and a desire to learn culinary practices and skills.
• Ability to demonstrate and execute a strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical requirements (lifting up to 25–50 lb).
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Team-oriented with desire for growth in the brigade.

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, and grains using recipes as a guide.
• Gain exposure to garde manger, grill, roast, market line and other kitchen stations.
• Discuss menu offerings, seasonality, and ingredients with guests.
• Support the team during peak and off-peak service as needed.
• Maintain food safety standards according to DIG policies.
