DIG INN Restaurant Teams in New York is seeking an Chef-in-Training. Grow your culinary skills in a scratch-based kitchen, develop leadership abilities, and work in a fast-paced environment designed to teach you real cooking.

You will gain exposure to multiple kitchen stations, learn about seasonality, and help deliver scratch-made meals to guests while supporting a team focused on education, purpose, and taste. Competitive hourly pay with tips and benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• A passion for real, good food and a desire to learn culinary practices.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to perform physical requirements (lifting up to 25–50 lbs).
• Team-oriented with excellent verbal and written communication.
• Desire for growth within DIG brigade.

Responsibilities

• Prep, mix, and cook vegetables, proteins, and grains per recipes.
• Gain exposure to garde manger, grill, roast, market line, guest concierge, and delivery/packout.
• Explain menu offerings to guests with knowledge of seasonality.
• Support the team during peak and off-peak service as needed.
• Maintain food safety standards and uphold anti-discrimination policies.
• Contribute to the mission of rebuilding the food system.
