Job summary

Sargent & Lundy seeks an Associate Engineering Intern to join a Grid project team and support senior engineers in transmission and distribution projects. The role includes assisting with calculations, specifications, and designs across civil, structural, mechanical, and electrical disciplines.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in BS/MS programs with strong grades and can work in a hybrid set-up, three days in the office and two remote days.

Qualifications

• Active enrollment in a Bachelor of Science or Master of Science in Civil, Structural, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering with a strong academic background.
• Candidates pursuing other engineering degrees may be considered if they have relevant coursework.
• Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail.
• Self-Starter, proactive, able to work independently with minimal direction.
• Ability to quickly identify and prioritize issues, create solutions, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the preparation of engineering calculations, specifications, and designs.
• Work on project reporting, tracking progress and data evaluation.
• Be involved in power designs and preparation of documents for procurement of major equipment and installation services.
