Southeast Oklahoma State University in Durant, OK is seeking a Grants Specialist in the Finance Office to support the Grants Manager and Director of Finance/Comptroller. The role focuses on grants and sponsored programs, reviewing budgets, expenditures and revenues, and ensuring compliance with GAAP, OMES, and federal regulations.

You will assist faculty and staff with fiscal matters, prepare financial statements, manage program files, and help with pre- and post-award activities, invoicing,

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ general accounting experience.
• Strong work ethics.
• Detail oriented, professional attitude, reliable.
• Proficient in Excel and Word, Internet, 10-key by touch.
• Possess strong organizational and time management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, documentation, research and resolution skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Ability to interact with employees and vendors professionally.
• Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.

Responsabilités

• Tracks grant proposals, awards, rejections, and resubmissions; facilitates submission processes.
• Assist with fiscal management of grants and contracts; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Maintain program files and databases with funding sources, budgets, reporting lines.
• Review invoices, travel claims, and payments; enter data in Colleague; process employment forms.
• Prepare drawdowns, invoices to external agencies, and reconcile internal invoices.
• Assist with audits, time and effort reporting, and indirect cost invoicing.
