Job summary

Tallahassee State College is seeking a Career Development Specialist to support Okaloosa Correctional Institution with cell-front instruction and in-cell assignments for eligible participants. The role involves administering assessments, delivering the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program, and coordinating pre-release employment connections in collaboration with the Lead Educator.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s Degree or a high school diploma with two years in workforce development

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or high school diploma plus two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services, or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and able to perform data entry.
• Bonus if you have an Associate’s Degree and one year of related experience.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret assessments.
• Deliver 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Deliver additional programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintain and document services delivered.
• Report monthly attendance, enrollments and completions on the DC5-149 form.
