Job summary

Tallahassee State College is seeking a full-time Career Development Specialist – P10034 with the Department of Corrections Region 1 to support transition programs for incarcerated individuals. The role emphasizes in-cell instruction, assessments, and coordination with community providers for release planning.

The candidate should have an associate degree (or high school diploma with experience) and be proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or high school diploma plus 2 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Administer and interpret assessments.
• Deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Deliver other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintain and document services delivered.
• Report monthly attendance, enrollments, and completions on DC5-149 form.
• Provide information on pre-release connections for inmate release planning.
• Assist Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.
