Job summary

Tallahassee State College is seeking a Career Development Specialist – P05628 at the DOC – Charlotte Correctional Institution. This full-time, grant-funded role supports in-cell instruction and pre-release employment planning for eligible participants.

You will administer assessments, deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program, document services, and report attendance and outcomes. Collaboration with community providers and employers is part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree or high school diploma with two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments.
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department’s DC5-149 form.
• Providing information on pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services.
• Assisting Pre-Release Employment Navigators with hiring events, mock interviews, pre-release job search, recruitment, and readiness portfolio development.
