Job summary

Tallahassee State College is seeking a Career Development Specialist for the Santa Rosa Correctional Institution to deliver the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program and related in-cell instruction for eligible participants.

You will administer assessments, document services, coordinate pre-release employment activities, and support release planning and job search efforts with educators and community partners.

Qualifications

• Two years of professional experience in workforce development, social services or corrections.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and data entry.
• Bonus points if you have an Associate's Degree and one year of experience in the social services or corrections field.

Responsibilities

• Administration and interpretation of assessments.
• Delivery of the 100-Hour Transition Skills Program curriculum.
• Delivery of other programs as determined by the Department.
• Maintaining and providing documentation of services delivered.
• Reporting monthly attendance, program enrollments, and completions on the Department's form.
• Providing information pertaining to pre-release connections of community providers and employers for inmate release planning services.
