Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field or equivalent experience as determined by the company.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, budgeting and financial analysis with ability to interpret fiscal regulations (preferred in clinical research/healthcare).
• Ability to assess, research and resolve complex financial and compliance issues with sound judgment.
• Deep understanding of financial management in a clinical trial setting and strong auditing/compliance background.

Responsibilities

• Compliance management: maintain understanding of grant/contract terms and ensure sponsor compliance.
• Invoicing, accounts receivable and cash management to ensure positive cash flow and timely payments.
• Month-end close: prepare journal entries and ensure GAAP/uniform guidance compliance.
• Reporting: create financial reports and address discrepancies with stakeholders.
• Project closeout: complete closeout documentation, ensure cost sharing, remove unallowable costs.
• Audit: assist with internal controls and gather documentation for auditors.
• Other duties as assigned.
