Job summary

FS GRAIN is seeking a dependable Scale Operator to manage inbound/outbound tickets, weights, and grade information at our Northern Illinois facilities. You will process tickets, handle invoicing, and communicate with settlement and operations teams to ensure accurate data and timely updates.

The role supports the operations manager and office staff, assisting with filing, reporting, and various duties as assigned. A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• Proven computer skills and experience working with customers.
• Knowledge of cooperative philosophies is preferred.
• Ability to learn and use Scale System and generate reports.
• Familiarity with tickets, weights, and grade information.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours when needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate scale including inbound/outbound/transfer, weights and grades.
• Process customer tickets, invoicing, and related financial records.
• Communicate with settlement, origination and operations staff promptly.
• Provide basic customer service and answer phones as needed.
• Maintain clean, professional scale operation area and records.
• Assist with filing, reporting, and miscellaneous duties.
