Job summary

FS Grain, LLC is seeking a Seasonal Grain Scale Operator to manage scale operations at the Ransom, IL elevator. You will handle inbound/outbound/transfer tickets, ensure accurate weight and grade data, and support settlement and operations staff with timely communications.

The role emphasizes customer service, data entry, invoicing, and adherence to safety and paperwork procedures. A positive team environment and reliable attendance are expected.

Qualifications

• Proven computer skills and ability to work effectively with customers.
• Knowledge of cooperative philosophies and principles is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate the scale for inbound/outbound/transfer, including weights and grades.
• Select proper customer accounts and manage transfer locations.
• Process customer/cash load out tickets and invoicing.
• Communicate with settlement, origination and operations staff about scale information.
• Provide basic customer service including phone support and elevator hours info.
• Learn and use the Scale System to generate reports and manage tickets.
• Maintain clean, organized scale operation area and assist with filing and reporting.
