Carter Day International, Inc. in Fridley, MN, is seeking a hands-on Lab Manager to oversee the grain and process equipment laboratory.

You will support Sales, Engineering and Manufacturing through equipment testing, installation, troubleshooting, product development, and customer application support. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, 4+ years of experience with industrial equipment, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment while

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred, or equivalent hands-on experience.
4+ years of experience with industrial equipment, manufacturing, mechanical systems, testing, or maintenance.
Experience assembling, installing, repairing, or troubleshooting machinery.
Experience with equipment rigging and installation.

Responsabilités

Plan and coordinate laboratory testing with Sales, Engineering, and Manufacturing.
Assemble, install, operate, and troubleshoot laboratory and processing equipment.
Prepare machines for testing, including component changes and drive package installation.
Conduct full-scale and small-scale equipment testing and accurately record results.
Prepare test reports and present findings to Engineering, Sales, and Management.
Maintain laboratory equipment, conveying systems, spouting, and auxiliary equipment.
Repair and rebuild equipment as needed.
Support Engineering with new equipment designs, prototypes, testing, and test-to-failure studies.
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory.
Manage lab supplies, equipment, scheduling, and general operating costs.
Assist Sales with customer applications and technical support.
Support parts sales, including researching, quoting, and entering orders.
Travel occasionally for customer equipment startup and application support after training.
