Job summary

An established, 60+ year-old industrial equipment engineering and manufacturing company seeks an Engineering Lab Technician to join its direct-hire team in Minnesota. You will fabricate parts from drawings, assemble thermal systems, and set up and run product tests using DAQ systems.

The role emphasizes data analysis in Excel, reporting results, and purchasing lab equipment. Candidates should have an associate degree in a technical discipline, 3+ years of relevant experience, and familiarity

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in a technical discipline (Mechanical or HVAC / Refrigeration a plus).
• 3+ years of relevant experience in engineering lab or manufacturing settings.
• Experience with thermal systems (HVAC, refrigeration) preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Experience with data acquisition systems (LabVIEW) a plus.
• SolidWorks experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate parts and assemblies from concept drawings and sketches.
• Assemble thermal systems – including mechanical assembly, brazing, and electrical.
• Set up and run product tests using data acquisition systems or standalone test instrumentation.
• Assist in analyzing test data through Microsoft Excel.
• Write comprehensive reports to communicate test set-ups and results.
• Purchase lab equipment, tools, and supplies.
