Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.

• Available to work extended weekday and weekend hours during grain harvest seasons.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and grade inbound and outbound grain and products to meet specifications.
• Prepare scale receipts and enter deliveries into database.
• Operate loading/unloading equipment to ship or receive grain products.
• Inspect grain facilities daily for equipment condition and storage quality.
• Help schedule logistics for inbound/outbound grain.
• Maintain and handle inventories to maximize profitability including grain movements.
• Identify problems or improvements and work with supervisor on solutions.
• Interact with customers daily and provide accurate information.
• Assist in implementing safety programs set forth by Smithfield Foods.
• Comply with all environmental laws and procedures; report issues to supervisor.
• Review the company emergency notification process at the work site.
