Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a dedicated worker to assist with grain handling and facility operations at our Missouri facility. You will help implement work schedules, safety programs and record keeping in collaboration with the facility manager.

You will weigh, grade, and manage grain inventories, operate loading equipment and ensure compliance with environmental and safety policies. This role requires teamwork, reliability and the ability to work extended hours during harvest seasons.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and comply with safety policies and practices.
• Verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective communication with grain customers.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and grade inbound and outbound grain and grain products.
• Operate loading/unloading equipment to ship or receive grain products.
• Inspect grain facilities daily to ensure proper condition of stored grains.
• Help schedule logistics related to inbound and outbound grain.
• Maintain inventories to maximize profitability including grain movements.
