Job summary

Smithfield Foods is seeking a grain handling associate to support facility operations in a fast-paced environment. You will weigh and grade grain, prepare receipts, and operate loading equipment to manage inbound and outbound shipments.

Responsibilities include coordinating logistics, maintaining inventories, and collaborating with the facility manager to optimize processes while adhering to environmental and safety standards. Availability for extended weekday/weekend hours is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Able to understand and comply with safety policies and practices.
• Verbal and written communication, interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Weigh and grade inbound/outbound grain to meet specifications.
• Operate loading/unloading equipment to ship/receive grain products.
• Schedule logistics with facility manager for inbound/outbound grain.
• Maintain inventories and grain movements to support profitability.
• Identify problems or improvements and work with management to resolve them.
